Job Summary:
The Outside Salesperson will sell products and services offered by the company to new customers, as well as build consultative relationships with clients to retain long term business partnerships to current customers. The outside salesperson will work independently with external customers, and work internally with the sales support staff, including collections when needed.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads
· Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs
· Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs
· Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale
· Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
· Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems
· Provides periodic territory sales forecasts
· Expectation to work from home office 1-2 days per week and travel 3 days completing sales calls and visits
· Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field preferred
· At least five years of related experience preferred
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment for part of the day. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and selling materials.
Physical Demands
Daily travel to customer locations. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to navigate throughout the office building as well as customer facilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend or longer hours may be required based on business needs.
